✨AMPLIFIER: A Collaborative Installation✨ I am overwhelmed with gratitude following the first showing of Amplifier: A Collaborative Installation. Thank you @oregonfringe for hosting me as an Honorarium Recipient for this fantastic 10th year of Fringe. Thank you @gerhardpaige for your support and wisdom and for rolling with the punches I threw at you. It is always such a joy to work with you. Thank you @masterfonso for another excellent installation completed- I think we hit some serious records with our set-up and tear-down times. Also I love you :) Thank you @imgenericeric for the stunning photography and your sense of humor. I really appreciate your creative vision when it came to capturing this project!! Thank you to everyone who came out and showed support for this project. We received over 100 handwritten wishes for the future during this showing!! It really is such an honor to create experiences where people can express themselves and play and laugh and practice living in the now. ✨AMPLIFIER: A Collaborative Installation✨ I’m beyond thrilled to be sharing this work with @oregonfringe as they celebrate their 10 year anniversary!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍 While getting this sculpture ready for the show, I had a wonderfully horrible vision: What if I invited 20 strangers to have dinner and talk about the future with me? It’s brilliant. It’s terrible. It’s the ultimate test of the projects thesis: As different as any collection of people may be, we all want to see a better, brighter future. The dinner will be held simultaneously with the opening ceremony of Amplifier tomorrow at 6PM in front of the Schneider art museum. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the sculpture as well as observe the project being preformed in real-time during the dinner. 🤍🤍🤍🤍 This is easily my most insane idea to date. Contrary to what my Instagram might lead you to believe- I am really REALLY uncomfortable talking to people I don’t know. I’m not kidding- @masterfonso ended up handing the invitations out because I couldn’t look at a person without crying at the thought of speaking to them. Full disclosure: I also ended up inviting a handful of people I DO know. They’ve been instruction to pretend they don’t know me though, so it’s fine. Okay… Thanks guys!
